Goal: use a thesaurus to find interesting vocabulary  


                 The taniwha

 His fangs shone against the blue ocean. His spines reflected against the surface of the water. Its tongue flicked out tasting the salt of the blue waves. his snake-like body wriggled towards me, it enjoyed watching me squirm. then it turned tail and swam away. “Excellent,” i whispered. then out of the blue a much bigger serpent appeared. “Oh no,” I moaned. Meow ! honeysuckle was pregnant and had been in pain for the last couple of days but fortunately she was putting the family in pain too. My dad was grumpy from lack of sleep and my mom complained that she did not eat the food she put out for her. I went to my bed and tried to sleep even though i was tried I couldn't sleep.

 “Come back” I yelled as I stumbled across a log. The cheeky miniature yapped and seemed to smirk . I could blow with frustration ,this was no game i had a stitch and it hurt ! “Charlie heel”it was no use he was gone. Chapter 2

at dinner i felt helpless . I stared down at my rice .mum seemed helpless too. She kept staring at the empty basket charlie sat in at evening. I was deeply upset. memories of him flashed through my mind .his huge loving eyes . his soft fur coat . I needed to save them they were all i had of him now . in the morning i didn't want breakfast all I wanted was carlie. Chapter 3

Charlie ! my voice was hoarse from calling . suddenly through the golden buttercups i heard a small faraway yelp . i strained my ears for charlie's adorable whispery bark . there it was again i darted towards it charlie i said as he ran towards me . “ good boy ” i said as i carried him home.

winter publishing

My legs were aching as I trudged through the soft heavy blanket and the birds chirps prompted me on . With each step more snow splashed onto my legs. splat !!! a clump of snow fell onto my head from a overhanging branch and for a moment I felt the warmth of my gloves and thought how beautiful winter is .
