On the 23rd of August is the Oratia disco. This year is extra special, because for a lot of people it is the last one they will be spending at oratia. The senior disco (For years 4+) is from 7:00pm to 8:30pm. I am so excited! At the disco you can buy all sorts, like drinks, lollies (YUMMY) and even UV face paint! 

You can also request songs, and there are dance offs and best dressed competitions!

What Is Winter Sport?

Winter sport is a selection of sports that train at school. When the day comes, the teams pack their bags and play against other schools. Each teacher in Tuakana coaches a sport. After playing against the other schools, winter sport is finished. All of the training goes to one day, unlike club and in - school netball, which have schedules similar to:

Wednesday: Training, Saturday: Playing against _________. 

It just repeats.

What Winter Sports Are There To Choose From?

Winter sport was optional. You didn't have to do it if you didn't want to. But there were a range of different sports, so I think everyone could've done a sport. Here they are:

• Football / Soccer
• Rugby
• Hockey
• Netball 
• Kiwi Sport

What Winter Sport Did I Do?

 Writing it down immediately would be boring. Here is a QUIZ to see if you can guess what sport I am doing - (And if you already know, then, um.....)  - here:

1. You can't snatch the ball of someone

Art Is Our New Transform

For Transform We Are Doing ART!!!

LI: Organize related topics into paragraphs 

For transform we got given the four options : Cube Art, Pacific Art, Pop Art and Graffiti art (Graffiti Art is shown in the image) Graffiti Art is mostly lettering, fonts and colours. I put this as my option two in the order of what ones I want to do.

        Cubism Art - A very original type of art. More modern pieces are like jumbled pieces of a picture. I think this would be my 3rd favourite out of them all. 

Pop Art! This was my favourite, and my no.1 option. I love the artistic and creative perspective. It is often used in comics, and consists of bright colours and vivid lines.

Pacific Art is my 4th favourite art type. When I would normally love drawing detailed works of art, I just prefer Pop Art. Pacific Art is often so detailed that it at first looks like a black and white mass.
