Peer Mediation!!!
Today (Before Morning tea on the 4th of march) We were called in to the hall to talk about mediation, how they work and what our job is. At the end me and Lara were buddies- For the whole year! (Lily was litirally ready to kill me!!!) We also got into groups and talked about what mediation means. We were told examples of problems and we were talked through by Ms Coles of how to solve them. Examples of things she taught us about:
* If it involves any violence we were told to just go and get a duty teacher.
* You need to ask wether they want you to help them or not.
* That you Help them solve the problem, not just you by yourself.
* That you need to introduce yourself, Explain the rules, and slowly help them with their problem.
Next week we are going to be out on the playground! Im so exited. I feel like that session with Ms Coles really covered a lot of the things we need to know to be a peer meditor.
On the same day as peer mediation, the yr six girls got taken into the music room for our saint doms chat. They talked to us about their school, and even better! Stella A and Mackenzie from 2018 were there, talking about their school. They did SOOOO many sports, apparently.

So many more! The only reason I included water polo is because it stood out in the school book thingie against all of the other sports. Their isn't much to include about the saint doms chat, just that Mackenzie and Stella were there.

ReplyDeleteI really liked you post this week. I liked how you said all the things she taught us about. Maybe next time you could write fire gemma instead of mrs Coles. I also like how you said "Lilly was literally ready to kill me" You could say a bit more about what peer mediation is because some people weren't there to know what it is about.
Overall it was a great post.

Hey Ruby I really like your post. I liked how you said all the things she taught us about I like how you wrote all about per mediation next time you could write a little more about saint doms is because some people weren't there to know what it is about.
