Transform - Social Media - SNAPCAT!

SNAPCAT!!

In Transform (Social Media) A group of students decided that they wanted to learn about social media. Ms Jackson was running it (Of course) and after a bit of planning and comparing, we had chosen a social media to work on. Me and Lily were buddies, and we chose Snapchat as our social media to work on. We then chose a problem Snapchat has. This was rude content, such as inappropriate photos, rude and cruel text messages and a filter for swear words.

About our app
Our app is called SnapCat. Lily wanted (Of course) Elephants (SnapPhant didn't work) and I wanted (100%) Bunnies. But Lily didn't agree on SnapBun. Eventually, SnapCat made sense. We both loved cats. We also made a video on how SnapCat is going to work. HERE IT IS:

Our only problem:
We don't know how to filter out pictures! We are really confused on how to filter out inappropriate images. Words is one thing, but images?

Our logo process

  1. Brainstorm social media
  2. Create a chart - advantages and disadvantages of social media
  3. Watch a Ted Talk on a 12 yr old app developer
  4. Choose an issue with Snapchat
  5. Brainstorm your app name (SnapCat)
  6. Create a padlet mood board and put logos you like on it and write a caption ("I like the font", "the pattern is cool")
  7. Draw 20 + different logos
  8. Expand your favourite 3 so there are 9 logos you like
  9. Choose your favourite logo and draw it 4x bigger in your book with colour
  10. Open Canva and create 4 similar logos based from your book
  11. Choose the one you like best!

Our website progress
Ms Jackson asked us to create a website as step 12. Our website summarizes everything we have done, and what we are going to do. Wanna see for yourself? CLICK ON THE LINK 👇
